"Nippon Romanesque" Digital Painting, Wacom A4 size This is the next digital painting I made for the class' 3rd assignment: Human (/Humanoid) with His Weapon. The painting should involve a full human body/humanoid figure with any kind of pose, and should be armed with any kinds of "weapon". I chose to made a levitating guy clothed in men's kimono, Japanese armory and weapons with additional Roman accent from the helmet and gladiator sandals. I somehow wanted to make a painting that can show the theme "East Meets West", so I chose to mix the 2 famous cultures in the world: Japanese and Roman. The levitating figure was traced from a fashion advertisement from my own collection.
