This is my Final Artwork after 4 years as a student of Visual Communication Design. I created a collection of books that highlighted jeans and denim as the main topic.
Indonesian people in general must have been very familiar with jeans and denim, from successful entrepreneurs to hawkers traders must have at least a jeans in the closet. But does the public know about the long history of jeans and denim in the world? Why jeans can be one garment that remains used by people around the world to date? How is a jeans created? Why a high quality jeans can penetrate the price of millions of dollars? What exactly is the difference between jeans and denim? How to care for good jeans? All these things will be answered with this book.
The plus value of this book is this book using Indonesian languange, because it is intended to embrace the inner circle of the country. Why is that? According to research I do, most books collection of jeans and denim is usually made in Japan or America, but not all Indonesian people who read it fluently read kanji and also speak English. Therefore it would be nice if there is a book that raised this theme by using Indonesian, let alone face the fact that the denim and jeans scene in Indonesia is one of the largest in Asia.
Another advantage is, this book not only displays visual in the form of photos, but also using vector illustration made with minimalist style but still with good detail. As in the chapter on how to make jeans and parts in a jeans, they are all made with illustrations so readers can more easily understand them.
